Use text recognition (OCR) on nearly any file type such as PDF, Word, Mail-Messages and images ensuring the text content of your documents can be found with a full-text search. You can also apply rules for the import-pipeline that so that the text content of important documents can trigger a specific response, for instance if your suppliers company name is mentioned on an invoice, the document will be automatically linked to the related suppliers contact record and flagged as an 'invoice'. Document import-pipelines can also be linked to scanner devices to streamline document import.
